Tom McEwen took No Excuse and Lordships Graffalo to Camphire, to run in the CCI4*-L and CCI3*-S respectively.
No Excuse led the dressage on an impressive 23.1 and jumped clear across country, but was disappointingly withdrawn before showjumping. Lordships Graffalo finished 11th in the 3*, out of 73 starters, adding just 3.2 cross country time penalties to his 30.2 first phase score.
The same weekend Ros, Chris and Ziggy were at Burgham where Tom Jackson rode Pencos Crown Jewel in to fifth place in the CCI4*-S with a rail down and couple of cross country time penalties to add to their dressage score.
Also at Burgham, Alex Postoloswsky enjoyed a good cross country clear and just one rail down on Izilot DHI in the CCI2*-S, the horse’s first run at the level. The week before Alex had ridden Lordships Parc Royale in to fourth place in a novice section at Little Downham.
