Allstar B set a new Burgham dressage record last weekend, posting a score of 19.7 to give Ros her first CCI4*-S victory.
After adding just a couple of time penalties to this first phase score Ros said: “What a legend Albie is. I felt a huge amount of pressure this week, but he was on fire in every phase.”
Ros then took the Newton Hall CCI2*-L on seven-year-old Izilot DHI, adding 0.4 of a time penalty to her 26.8 dressage score. “He’s pure class,” said Ros. “He’s one of the most talented horses I have ever sat on. For this job, I think he has everything.”
Rehy Royal Diamond also jumped a double clear in what was his first CCI4*-S – but things didn’t all go Ros’ way. She took a crunching fall from Pencos Crown Jewel – fortunately horse and rider were unscathed.
